A Film Festival… of the best most socially aware kind! Earlier this year I was invited to be part of the film selecting jury to the United Nations Association Film Festival and upon saying yes, I had no idea what I was getting into. Man oh man… Out of 600+ documentaries from all over the globe, 60 were chosen to be screened at the 13th installment of this annual fest. More than half of the screenings had Q&A's with the film makers, discussion panels and direct ways to get more information and collaborate with each of the causes that these films were pulling for. I made it out to Stanford University (where the festival resides and operates from) and caught about a dozen docs and I'm so happy to see a festival like this thrive and impact people in such a positive way. Compliments to Jasmina Bojic, Cathy Keys and the entire UNAFF team for sustaining such a great and sorely needed awareness tool and thank you to my dearest Amanda Howell for turning me on to it ! Check their WEBSITE, some praise from MOVIE MAKER MAGAZINE and a few of this year's highlights ( TRAILER 1, TRAILER 2, TRAILER 3 )
